This tower is close to the present-day Café Diwan, the fourth from the left in this picture. (At this period the water tower is still in place on the roof of the Bourj Resace). Even from this distance it can be seen that the present-day tower has no crenellations preserved, whereas in 1908 the top of the tower was flat at the front and crenellated at the side.
